You all know that moment when you realize you’re about to be enjoying some seriously beautiful weather, so you jump the gun & wear like…shorts and it’s March? Ok, well I haven’t done that yet, but I will say I am BEYOND excited at the prospect of what the weather is supposed to be like this week. 60’s all week? HELL TO THE YEAH. It might be a shorts moment. WE WILL SEE.
This look I put together this past week. It was rather chilly, not too bad, but still sort of a brisk chill in the air. I’m not one to over dress or bundle too much, so this combination proved to not only be a good look but a good use of leathern & layers. I swear if there’s one thing I’m a huge advocate for it’s eating Ben & Jerry’s while watching Barefoot Contessa until 2am. Ok, well that, but I am enamored with Uniqlo Heat-Tech. The stuff saves my life every other day in the winter. Under my thick cable knit sweater, I have a thin layer of Heat-Tech that warms me up throughout the day.
In addition to being obsessed with Heat-Tech, I am also incredibly obsessed with vintage finds. Y’all obviously know I’m a huge thrift shop-a-holic, and I love a good deal. I found this gorgeous cognac colored leather jacket at a shop in Connecticut just over two years ago now. I feel like I barely wear it & it just sits in my closet. I’ve decided the brown leather 70’s-esque collared leather jacket needs a lil spotlight. Here’s a very similar one! So I hope you enjoy the lengthy collar, the color, and the way I’ve styled it here! I feel like there’s a very chic 70’s look to the jacket that needs to be grounded with a little cable knit & a pair of chukkas.
Spring is here, y’all <3 Enjoy it!
