Valentine’s Day 2016

Sooooo it’s going to be freezing this weekend apparently. “The most cold we’ve had all YEAR!!!!!” Awesome.
I’m not really looking forward to running around the city in freezing cold temperatures after excessive drinking & dancing on Saturday night (Hello Love 2016, WHO’S GOIN?), but like kind of really am ready to dance the night away with all the babes in New York…hmm.. sacrifices.

Anyway, I thought Hello Love + these red shoes I got a couple weeks back = Valentine’s Day appropriate right? With the day just looming around the end of the weekend, I figured why NOT integrate these red shoes into a Valentine’s Day post.
Red = Love or something according to the world, but these shoes actually legit are LOVELY.

These low-top faux suede beauties are literally the lightest shoes I’ve ever worn. Not. Playin.

Each shoe weighs 5.8 OUNCES…that’s .3 lbs….THAT’S AIR Y’ALL. AIR. I love a good low top sneaker moment (Converse, Adidas, Common Projects) & these are no exception. They’re a go to cut, a great color, and they look killer with a lot of different types of outfits. In this post, I chose to contrast the red with a beige jogger, grey graphic tee (but this would work really well too), & an amazing leather jacket to keep it all together.

Going into your casual social media job or low-key WeWork shared space? Need a pair of shoes to change into when you get inside from the WRETCHED COLD? Hi, welcome to your savior. This particular color isn’t available any longer, however the maroon are DOPE and look exactly the same.

I mean we all know Valentine’s Day is secretly a holiday meant to make sure people (like me) know that being single sucks. BUT HAHA THAT’S WHERE THEY’RE WRONG. Celebrate yourself this yourself some chocolate, a ticket to Hello Love, and GET YOUR DANCING SHOES. Happy Valentine’s Day. Love you all <3
