i drove nicole and my mom up to kent and had lunch at this awesome spot called gifford’s in kent center. i got fennel and pine nut roasted cage free chicken over a bed of organic arugula and split a bucket of seriously delicious mussels in a bolognese sauce with nicole. we obviously had to all split a bottle of prosecco…it was a saturday! i wore a white alternative apparel t-shirt, white club monaco jeans, white g.h. bass buc’s, and a simple square gold bracelet paired with gold-rimmed club masters and an airplane necklace. we wandered around kent and picked up a couple books from a book sale on main street, checked out some vintage clothes at b.johnstone, and my mom bought a pair of shoes from a little shop in the courtyard.
we then drove up to my favorite look out spot nestled between warren and new preston, ct. there are so many hills and the view is breath taking. i changed into an alternative apparel button down oxford for this part of the day. after we headed into the heart new preston and grabbed something to drink and i chose a stewart’s orange-n-cream (i had to). then i made nicole take some pictures of me on a white bench in front of this cute antique shop.
later that night, we decided to go out to a restaurant in fairfield called bodega. we got awesome hand made guacamole, some SERIOUS lobster, mahi mahi, and shrimp tacos that were out of this world. i also (obviously) has to get a rosano margarita made with cane sugar and pomegranate juice. i’d say this is probably one of my favorite places to eat in connecticut. after dinner we headed to the beach and watched the fireworks since it rained on the 4th.
meet you at the beach tomorrow!
