this weekend i went up to connecticut to shoot with my really good friend and wonderful photographer/visual artist, stephen pacuk.
i wanted to go to bull’s bridge in kent, connecticut. nestled right on the state line of new york and connecticut, bull’s bridge is one of the only hooded bridges left in the country. the more exciting thing for me, though, is the falls beneath said bridge. i used to come here with my friends on a hot summer day and swim down the river and hang out in small pools of warm water. i used to come and reflect when things weren’t going so well in high school. i have a deep connection to this place.
i sort of thought it might rain this weekend, but i didn’t realize how much. our shoot was done in the pouring rain. you can see how hard it was raining in the picture of me standing in front of the rushing water. when we were just wrapping up though, the sun showed it’s face and gave us a few really nice shots!
the simplicity of a black trench will always be something to covet. i love black and white for obvious reasons, but it will always just be simple, clean and classic to me. white button down, black skinnies, black bonded trench, a pair of frye boots, and a beanie got me covered…oh and black umbrella 😉
